Demo v0.4.4 - new quest and deco mode updates


We were never quite content with one of the quests in the first level (which is also the demo level), so we replaced it with a longer, a bit more involved story. The new content is inspired by detective games, so be ready to take some notes! There are also some refinements to the decoration mode, especially when it comes to deco quests.

  • fixed memory leaks after returning to the start menu
  • fixed player card deck having too many cards
  • fixed dialog of second secret passage fight
  • improved godrays shader a bit
  • improved brightness in situations with godray
  • improved darkness in secret passages
  • extended first level's geometry
  • replaced a quest in the first level
  • decreased draw calls during game
  • added locks on doors with animation on unlock
  • added a new tutorial screen for deleting decorations
  • added simple sounds to dialogs (experimental)
  • improved deco mode by disallowing building decorations inside player 
  • improved deco mode by disallowing decorations blocking too many pathways 
  • added visualisation of doors in map backend 
  • added freezing to decorations, so the player can't remove them after a quest any more 
  • added a hint box for the inspection mode's controls 
  • added tutorial arrows in the first card combats

From now on we will concentrate on the story of the full game, level 3 and beyond. But it's also planned to change the card combat slightly, which will probably be part of the next version of the demo.
