Karoshi!
A downloadable game for Windows
Karoshi is pretty much our oldest "full" game project as a team. While we did some game prototypes in uni, this one was the first that actually is playable, more or less. Karoshi was made for the third ZFX Action, a month long game jam in the German discussion board ZFX for game developers. Back then in 2010 Rat King did not yet exist.
Karoshi is highly inspired by Dungeon Keeper, but you actually play as two rivalling companies on one office floor. You have to buy and place desks and chairs to increase your influence area, and hire interns that can be trained to mobbers and vandals. When you reach and destroy the boss desk of your adversary, you win.
Development began in Unity 2.6, but later on the project was upgraded to Unity 3.2. There is no guarantee this game still works on modern computers. We uploaded it here mostly for history preservation reasons.
Importabt hints:
- Use the spacebar to bring up the main menu (while playing)
- Right click ends the current mode / cancels the selection
- Read the tutorial!
With music from Kevin MacLeod. The game is also on IndieDB.
